Going out away from the place
The room was tiny and smelt damp. The bed needs total replacing, the bathroom door handle was missing, The kettle had to be placed on the floor to be boiled ( really safe). I arrived 11pm and was lead around outside to the room by a gentleman whom walk as his place, we where carrying gift from our wedding, me wife was in her wedding dress and my mother in law has M.S but he never asked if we where ok, Maybe due to the fact we had interupted his drinking with the locals. No lights where on outside when we where taken to the room although they where on when my mum in law came back a few minutes later. The next evening we tired to raise our problems but there was no one available, so we left and I am still waiting for a reply to the email I sent. Go to the travel lodge in Sleaford, unless your face fits.It was booked in April and they where made a where it was a honeymoon.

The friendliness of the customers. The high quality of sheets and bathtowels.
Two rooms were booked and while one room was worth the £49.50 paid for it, the second was not. Dark, poky, off a step by the fire door. Shower, toilet, washbasin in a cupboard. Quilts were antedeluvian slabs in winciette covers that would pin you down should you get underneath them..

The food we had in the pub was excellent especially the steaks which were tasty and cooked to perfection. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent and the staff were very welcoming and friendly.
The accomodation is very out-dated and the rooms could do with a make-over to modernise them. There were alot of cobwebs in our room too and the colour scheme a little "garish". The bed, however, had nice clean sheets and there was a TV and Tea/Coffee making facilities so for one night it wasn't a bad night's stay.

The excellent bar and traditional restaurant. Appears to be professionally run, but also very friendly. The room a little dated but still good value for money.
I was quoted £48 by Booked.net and the hotel charged £49.50 (not a great deal more) but the principle is wrong here!
